Milwaukee Avenue

Milwaukee Avenue is beautiful. It is a pedestrian street in the middle of Minneapolis with two rows of beautiful little houses. The homes are made of various shades of brick and they all have lovely wooden porches, painted different colors. Walking down the street, you feel as though you've stepped back in time. The houses are almost identical, which would be sort of creepy if they weren't so charming. As it is, this little nook of a neighborhood has traded all the disturbing perfection of the 'burbs for an old-fashioned personality that is nothing but endearing.
Today, it was all lilacs, tulips, and garage sales. :)

Lost and Found and Narnia

I found this in the B side triple-- and it totally made me laugh.

Therapy

Sil borrowed Prof. V's dog. I brought prosecco. We sat in the grass at Parco Florida. And talked about how relieved we felt- in tired, incoherent phrases. It was lovely.

I love the co-op!

Granola and Tom's of Maine on sale. Free chocolate and ice cream samples. And quirky characters to amuse and entertain. Wonderful.

The End Is Near

Sometimes when I get really, really, really tired I start to see things. I could feel myself getting there... I managed to write a solid paper but my spatial awareness was sad. This photo however, was taken this way on purpose and was not a product of my delirium.

A Nun and A Llama

I think it would be more fun not to explain this one. Let's just say it was an interesting day.

Quiet Hours

So I had a loud party... in my headphones.

The Pottery Tour

Alyssa, if you ever make it to Minnesota, we are going to this pottery studio! It was gorgeous. We stopped at about six different studios on our fantastic tour, but this was probably my favorite. It's very close to the St. Croix River, which separates MN and WI, and it is in an old barn that has been converted into a beautiful studio! This weekend was so great.

Earring.

Do you remember Annamieke's thesis research that talked about the scandalous meaning of earrings? Hahaha.

Riverdance!

This is a very shabby picture of a very amazing theater. Mickel' and I went to Riverdance (The Farewell Tour) and it was amazing!

The Bird Car

This is the very special bird car that lives in my area. I often see it around the co-op, the clay center, and just driving. I'm always way too distracted by the birds, bumper stickers, and Shrek statuette to see who is driving...Maybe someday I'll get a good picture of both car and driver!

Keep Calm and Carry On

I am really not sure how I could survive this madness without them. Lucky for me I have not had to :)

The light at the end?

The day that I get to spend this time of day under the sky rather than looking at it through my curtian will be a good day.

Evidence of Emery

So, Emery has a habbit of dragging our shoes upstairs and putting them on the couch. As far as we can tell, he doesn't chew on them. Rather, he makes a sort of nest out of them and sits in their midst. Although this picture does not show it, there were also six shoes on top of the couch. Very interesting.

May Day/Pagan Ritual/Gay Rights/Cinco de Mayo Parade

Quite a spectacle. In a good way.

MA PERCHE?

I think being an RA late in the spring is like having children between the ages of 13-16.
WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?
See this sign? As far as I know it was not us who knocked it over. It happens every couple weeks, they come and fix it after a week and then it gets uprooted again. I am not sure why they bother. Anyway, this morning we found it in our kitchen and so we had to move it out. Which means Nicholas moved it and I mostly watched. My hand is busted. And let's be honest, I am not that helpful.
How are you supposed to return a felled sign? Stand it up? Lay it down?
There was a time in my life when I did not have to ask such questions.
There was a time in my life I might have taken it into our kitchen to add to the collection of random found objects.

because these turned out a lot better than the ones from last night. Ladies and gentlemen, Trace Bundy!

Crown Revisited

This was the first monastery-love of my life.

I will CUT you

I could not make this paper happen. So I took scissors to my notes and organized them. I am a visual thinker. It worked.
