Al Azhar Park

This was an incredible park built on a hill with a view of Cairo stretching into the smog. What was once a giant garbage dump became one of the only open green spaces in the city.

It is also one of three photos I took this day... I spent most of the day fending off death at the Hotel Cosmopolitan (also known as the twilight zone) while everyone else was galavanting around the city learning things (actually, I think the only thing I really missed out on was the Starbucks in Heliopolis).
